Kings Elliot releases “BORN BLUE”, the song she may have taken to Eurovision for Switzerland.
Swiss artist Kings Elliot has released her song “BORN BLUE”, which appears to have been connected to Switzerland’s internal selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
According to ESC kompakt, Kings Elliot briefly uploaded an Instagram Reel on 14 May 2026, the day of the second semi-final, showing what looked like a live performance of “BORN BLUE” from the Swiss Eurovision casting process. The post was later deleted. In the caption, she reportedly suggested that she had withdrawn after the EBU announced its decision, writing that in an “alternative universe” she would have performed the song at Eurovision.
The article explains that this has led to speculation that Kings Elliot may originally have been chosen, or at least seriously considered, to represent Switzerland in Vienna before Veronica Fusaro eventually performed “Alice”. However, this has not been officially confirmed. SRF reportedly said that Switzerland’s Eurovision selection process is internal and confidential, and that artists involved sign confidentiality agreements.
“BORN BLUE” is described as a dark, emotional pop song with soul influences and even a rap section. The visuals shown in the deleted Reel reportedly featured Kings Elliot in a futuristic look, with blue hair and light tubes on her back. The song’s lyrics focus on feeling different, misunderstood, and pressured to change in order to fit into the world.
The article also notes that Kings Elliot is already known in Switzerland’s music scene.
She has won a Swiss Music Award, toured with Imagine Dragons, and had success in the Swiss charts with two EPs and her album Born Blue, which reached number five.
So basically, the story is: Kings Elliot has released “BORN BLUE”, a song that may have been intended for Switzerland at Eurovision 2026, but her possible involvement remains unofficial and unconfirmed.
