Luxembourg has reaffirmed its commitment to the Eurovision Song Contest, with plans to remain part of the competition for at least the next three editions. The decision provides long-term certainty for the country's growing Eurovision project following its successful return to the contest in 2024.

The announcement comes after discussions involving the Luxembourg government, national broadcaster RTL, and key partners behind the Luxembourg Song Contest. Officials believe Eurovision continues to offer an important platform for promoting Luxembourg's music industry and cultural identity across Europe.

Prime Minister Luc Frieden has previously highlighted the value of Eurovision as a showcase for local talent and an opportunity to strengthen Luxembourg's international visibility. According to government representatives, ongoing efforts will focus on ensuring that Luxembourg's artistic community remains closely involved in the selection process and future development of the national Eurovision project.

Since returning to the Eurovision stage after a three-decade absence, Luxembourg has invested heavily in building a modern national selection format through the Luxembourg Song Contest. The competition has helped introduce new artists to wider audiences while creating renewed enthusiasm for Eurovision among local fans.

Luxembourg's recent Eurovision journey has produced mixed results but has maintained strong public interest. Tali secured a place in the Grand Final in 2024, while Laura Thorn followed in 2025. In 2026, Eva Marija represented the Grand Duchy with "Mother Nature" after winning the Luxembourg Song Contest.

The confirmation of participation through 2029 provides stability for organisers and artists alike, allowing preparations to begin well in advance for future editions. It also signals Luxembourg's intention to establish itself once again as a regular presence in Europe's biggest music event after decades away from the competition.

Attention will now turn to the next Luxembourg Song Contest, which is expected to select the country's representative for Eurovision 2027. With continued backing from both government and broadcaster, Luxembourg appears determined to build on the momentum generated since its Eurovision comeback and strengthen its place within the contest's modern era.
