Following the success of the national selection format in recent years, ERT has decided to continue giving artists from across Greece and the Greek diaspora the opportunity to compete for the Eurovision ticket. The format gained strong television ratings and fan support, becoming one of the most popular Eurovision selection shows in the country.
"Sing for Greece" was expanded in 2026 to include two semi-finals and a grand final, attracting dozens of artists and thousands of public votes. The winning act earned the right to represent Greece on the Eurovision stage.
For Eurovision 2027, ERT is expected to once again open submissions to singers, songwriters and producers, with a combination of public voting and jury voting likely determining the winner. Eurovision fans are already speculating about which established stars and emerging artists could take part in the competition.
The return of a national final reflects ERT's commitment to transparency, public participation and the discovery of new musical talent. The broadcaster hopes to build on the momentum created by previous editions and continue Greece's strong Eurovision tradition.
More details regarding the rules, submission deadlines, hosts and venue for "Sing for Greece 2027" are expected to be announced in the coming months.
With excitement already growing among Eurovision fans, Greece is preparing for another memorable journey towards the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.
