Bulgaria’s national broadcaster, Bulgarian National Television (BNT), has officially opened the bidding process to determine which city will host Eurovision 2027.
Four major Bulgarian cities have confirmed their interest in staging the contest: Burgas, Plovdiv, Sofia, and Varna. Each city is expected to present its proposal and demonstrate its ability to host one of Europe’s largest live television events.
BNT Director General Milena Milotinova stated that the evaluation process is already underway, with the winning host city expected to be announced by the end of July.
The selected city will welcome thousands of Eurovision fans, delegations, and media representatives from across Europe and beyond, making the competition a major cultural and economic opportunity for the host region.
As the race begins, all eyes are on Burgas, Plovdiv, Sofia, and Varna as they compete for the chance to bring Eurovision 2027 to their city.
