Linda Lampenius Questions Eurovision 2026 Voting Results

Finland’s Eurovision 2026 representative Linda Lampenius has sparked discussion among fans after publicly criticising the results of this year’s contest.

Lampenius represented Finland alongside Pete Parkkonen with the song “Liekinheitin”. The entry had been seen as one of the favourites going into the competition, especially after winning Finland’s national selection, UMK.

However, Finland eventually finished in sixth place in the Eurovision 2026 Grand Final.

Speaking to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Lampenius shared her frustration with the final result and said she did not trust the voting. She suggested that both the jury and public vote felt questionable to her, and claimed that there may have been unfair activity behind the scenes.

Her comments have caused debate because she also mentioned several other countries in her reaction. Lampenius questioned why Denmark finished behind Finland, why France placed lower than expected despite what she described as a very strong vocalist, and why Israel came close to winning the contest. She also referred to Sweden’s Felicia finishing in 20th place as another result she struggled to understand.

The Finnish artist made it clear that winning Eurovision was not necessarily her main goal. However, she said that the overall result did not make sense to her and that she no longer trusted the competition’s voting process.

Her comments have received attention across the Eurovision community, especially because earlier in the season she had appeared positive about some of the other performers.

The reaction to her latest comments is likely to be mixed. Some fans may agree that Eurovision voting can be unpredictable, while others may feel that strong accusations should not be made without evidence.
